Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence”

(Abigail Adams, 1780)

“I have a genuine passion for learning, and a lifelong commitment to providing truly inclusive environments. That’s why I really enjoy researching and updating my training materials, and providing the sort of workshops that people are not only inspired by, but talk about.”

Meet the trainer

With a Bachelor’s of Science in child and adolescent mental health and a post graduate certificate of education Charlotte is a qualified practitioner who has been involved in coaching, child development and education throughout a 20 year career.

Formerly a horse riding and outdoor education instructor, she taught people of all ages, including children and young people with a variety of physical, emotional and learning needs.

In 2010 she  became a family support worker, subsequently training as an Early Years practitioner, before working as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, and then achieving qualified teacher status. For eight years she worked in a variety of settings, including  mainstream primary schools, and specialist settings.

Her career continued to develop as she began providing 1:1 tutoring for children who due to neurodiversity and mental health needs are educated other than at school (EOTAS).

As well as delivering training, Charlotte now owns a tutoring business, working alongside families and multidisciplinary teams, and continue to develop personalised curriculums to re-engage reluctant students and allow all learners to access education through teaching in the community. Sessions utilize her experience, to encourage resilience and assist children to develop appropriate coping mechanisms to maximize behaviours for learning, academic attainment, and lifelong successes.

As a reflective practitioner she stays up to date with research, strives to continually adapt and improve her practice, and share skills with other professionals.
